Tara Samuel hails from Toronto Canada, where she was classically-trained at the renowned George Brown theatre school. Currently, Tara plays ”Vangeline Neddeau” in original digital series, The Neddeaus of Duqesne Island, cbc.ca, released June 2017. Tara is most widely known for her television role "Tara Williams" in Sue Thomas:F.B.Eye. Other television credits include: The Mindy Project, The Division, The Bold & The Beautiful, Twice In A Lifetime, Killer Deal. Film roles include: ”Rose” in multiple-award-winning Wild Prairie Rose, Tiger Orange, Way Down In Chinatown, The Rwanda Blend, Tanya & Gary, Prairie Sonata, The Drain, The Third Eye, and “Ruby” in RUBY BOOBY.
As a producer-actor: Ruby Booby, dir. Jon Rannells, The Rwanda Blend, dir. Sam Zvibleman, and Prairie Sonata, directed by longtime collaborator Deborah LaVine. Tara is co-founder of the notorious Los Angeles indie film collective www.wemakemovies.org As story-consultant, Tara is the CEO of www.sriptkicker.com and is published in Movie Maker Magazine online.
Jonathan Rannells - Writer/Director
Anneli Ekborn is a multiple award-winning and Genie-nominated producer with three features and nineteen short films under her belt. Awards include the Toronto International Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, Hot Docs, DGC, Rhode Island, Canadian Film Festival, New York’s Method Fest.
All of Anneliʼs films have been screened worldwide, most recently in Berlin, Cannes, New York, Japan, Palm Springs and at TIFF and The American Film Institute. Anneli carries a BFA in Film from Simon Fraser University and is an alumnus of The Canadian Film Centre and the National Screen Instituteʼs Features First Program.
Kathryn Winslow - Lead/Associate Producer
Jonathen Rannells is an award winning actor/writer/filmmaker and self-taught mixed media artist. As an actor, Jon has more than 70 appearances in commercials, TV shows and films. As a playwright, Jon’s plays have been produced in North America and Europe and translated into several languages. Jon co-wrote the cult dark comedy feature film “Eddie The Sleepwalking Cannibal” which premiered at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival, and went on to win the Black Tulip award at the Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival and the European Fantasy Film Grand Prize at Leeds International Film Festival. Giving him the best eye and spark, for writing and directing Ruby Booby.
Kathryn Winslow has been twice nominated for a Canadian Emmy, most recently for her phenomenal performance in HBO Canada's "Living In Your Car”. She recently starred in "Jane The Virgin" and has a recurring role on "Single Ladies" for BET. She played Ellen Kramer in the final episodes of the Fox hit "24" and has had regular roles on several TV series including "This Is Wonderland" (for which she was also nominated) In addition, Kathryn has guest starred on dozens of series including "Parenthood," "Bones," "24" and "90210." Kathryn's film work has been dominated by indie hits, which now includes Ruby Booby.
Ashley Harris - Creative Consultant/Associate Producer
Ashley Harris is a Toronto-based freelance editor, cinematographer, and branding consultant. Ashley is a recent graduate of Humber College’s Film and TV Production program. She has interned for a variety of companies in Toronto ranging from music video companies, to commercial and post production houses. Giving her an ability to connect with each client no matter where they’re focus or background lies.
Her passion, however, will forever remain in documentaries. In 2015, she had the opportunity to direct a short documentary outlining the conjunction of the creative and grieving processes of an up-and-coming Toronto rapper. Presently, her first film as Director of Photography "But Wait There's More" is currently in it's festival run. She is in the pre-production stages of a documentary focusing on the rapid decline of bee populations, and what this means for the next generation.
